Under the direction of the Corporate Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the implementation of processes associated with the creation of new, and revision of existing labels for HB Specialty Foods. This position is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the labels applied to products manufactured.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews production schedules to anticipate label demands in advance of actual production
  • Attends weekly Production/New Launch meetings
• Reviews labels for accuracy and ensures they are available to meet production schedules to include, but not limited to:
  • Product labels
  • Placards
  • Sample labels
• Working with Regulatory and R&D to create or modify existing labels as needed for all facilities
• Routes labels for approval to Regulatory, R&D and or Fulfillment team members
• Provides Fulfillment Team and or Regulatory with labels for customer review and approval
• Retains records of approved labels
• Prints labels for Nampa
• Manages the check-out/check-in foreign material control process. Condition of items is to be inspected and cleaned daily after use in production. Damaged items are to be decommissioned and replaced as needed. Items include but are not limited to:
  • Utility knives
  • Tool boxes
  • Blending kits
  • Scanning guns
• Manages inventory of production materials such as gloves, masks, knives, hair nets, beard nets, label stock, etc. Keeping the storage areas and bins cleaned and stocked.
• Managing of approved pen inventory, engraving and distribution
• Oversees/manages Cintas Laundry pick-up/delivery and transporting the laundered goods and materials to designated areas. Restocking of Cintas supplies for QA Lab, QA/R&D Closet, and locker rooms as directed.
• Participate in the QA Lab Master Cleaning Schedule
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualities need to be a Label Tech.

Strong work ethic and a close attention to detail.

Able to interact with production leads, supervisors and managers to ensure labels are created in a timely manner and the information on the label is correct.

Develop a good working relationship with regulatory to ensure the label templates are accurate.

Be willing to take on other responsibilities when asked by the QC Supervisor.
