Description
SAIC is seeking to fill the position of Quality Assurance Analyst working for the corporate Quality Excellence | Risk, Ethics & Compliance group, supporting our Logistics and Supply Chain (L&SC) Operations business unit in Fairfield, NJ.
This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the US, but must be willing to travel to our satellite locations in or near our Government Customer sites located in: Cherry Point, NC; Jacksonville, FL; North Island, CA; Anniston, AL; Warner Robins, GA; Virginia Beach, VA, as well as our Fairfield, NJ office and other locations when necessary.
The candidate will participate as Quality liaison in product and process review meetings defining product acceptability and process compliance requirements. They will Interface with technical support staff to assure the quality requirements of a program, project and company goals are understood and carried out; they must be able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. This person will act as an advisor and becomes actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
Duties assigned but not limited to are as follows:
- Conduct Internal and External ISO 9001:2015 Certification Process Audits including documenting Findings, Observation and Opportunities for improvements, then perform follow-ups
- Perform Mil-Spec parts compliance analysis
- Perform Drawing reviews and interface with supplier QA functions as well as the customer to resolve potential product quality issues
- Maintain the IPV quality plan and system, ensures compliance with all contractual and service requirements, SAIC and industry standards
- Participate in the Configuration Control Board meetings
- Lead process improvement teams and document process flows using Visio
- Create IPV Vendor Quality Metrics for PMRs
- Work with Procurement to ensure customer quality requirements (FAT, PVT, QCC, etc.) are flowed down to suppliers and work with DCMA to obtains approvals on shipments
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DLA parts technical data, Quality Control Codes, Source Inspection procedures, MCRL, AMC and AMSC Codes
- Perform product quality inspections on parts and review documentation to confirm compliance with specifications and sourcing requirements (i.e. Manufacturer Test Reports)
- Maintain list of externally controlled documents and drawings to ensure Intellectual Property terms & conditions are adhered to
- Perform OTD and discrepancy analysis and trending of commercial and government material
- Perform root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions for failures
- Work closely with our Business Development group, authoring winning proposal sections when requested.
- Support all of our Supply Chain Management (SCM) Programs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience is required. Associate degree may be substituted with eight (8) or more years of experience in a related discipline.
- Ability to travel up to 25% annually within the US.
- Strong background working in an ISO-9001:2015 registered and certified QMS environment, possessing experience in Quality Auditing to this standard, both internally and externally.
- Must possess strong data analytical skills.
- Must be capable of performing tasks individually as well as within a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of a variety of organizations.
- The candidate should possess sufficient working knowledge and familiarity of the following computer programs and databases to support the tasks of this position:
- Windows Office Applications (Latest Versions of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader/Editor, Teams, Visio or similar applications, etc.).
