SUMMARY: Checks products to ensure they are within predetermined customer and company standards. Performs all required product, ingredient and material attribute tests in a timely and consistent manner using established specific testing procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assures that company and customer standards are met through all required ingredient, finished product and packaging material attribute testing by following established testing procedures.
- Checks ingredients and in-process products according to Quality Control procedures.
- Checks finished products and packaging materials according to established processes.
- Performs all checks according to established schedule.
- Accurately conducts up to 18 laboratory tests, measurements and verifications.
- Records data following established guidelines in prescribed computerized and paper-based formats.
- Accepts or rejects ingredient, products, or packaging materials as not meeting company and customer specifications based on established testing thresholds.
- Immediately notifies Supervisor(s) when indicators of production quality or food safety problems are determined.
- Maintains orderly and clean laboratory using Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follows and enforces all GMP, quality and safety regulations and practices ensuring both personal and food safety.
