The Purple Team Engagement Analyst is responsible for supporting an ongoing security program of simulated cyber-attacks based on prioritized threats to the company. The team’s mission is to provide relevant data related to the company's cyber detection and response capability, as expected during high profile Cyber incidents, while supporting Investigations and Incident management to aid the speedy resolution and mitigation of identified risks. Secondary duties will include supporting the Threat Emulation & Offensive Security (TEOS) Team with developing automation workflows, reporting, and metrics around team operations.
The Work Itself
- Assist the red team with conducting threat hunts and adversarial simulations
- Continuously help build and improve Red and Blue Team operational processes
- Produce comprehensive reports related to findings with a high attention to detail
- Develop and support team metrics and automation
The Skills You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- 1+years hands-on experience
- Basic understanding of programming and scripting languages (Perl, Python, C#, Rust, Go, etc.)
- Basic understanding of Active Directory
- General understanding of Red Team methodologies
- Experience with Threat Hunting and using EDR tools and monitoring solutions
- Experience with defensive and offensive security tools
- Proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently
- Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
Nice to haves
- Hands-on certifications (Offensive Security, eLearn, Zero Point, etc.) or willingness to acquire within 12 months
- Penetration testing and/or red team experience
- Knowledge of cloud penetration testing and red teaming
- Experience with physical red teaming
- Ability to travel up to three times a year
- Community involvement (blogs, forums, HTB, social media, etc.)
- CVE Identification and Assignment
