Brief Overview:

As a Provider Credentialing & Enrollment Coordinator you will play a key role as part of Amwell Medical Group's Credentialing Department, responsible for reviewing all provider applications, pulling primary source verifications and initiating the provider credentialing process, as well as enrolling and building out provider profiles on our public facing platforms. The successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented, obsessive about accuracy and quality, and will be engaging and effective in communications. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate provider database which plays a vital role in Amwell Medical Group's daily operations.

This individual will work closely with our Amwell Medical Group Clinicians and the Amwell Clinical Services Team.

Specifically, the Provider Credentialing & Enrollment Coordinator:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist new providers during the onboarding process while working closely with other team members to ensure a positive experience
  • Field questions related to credentialing, training, contracts, licensing, scheduling, compensation, and technical issues
  • Review submitted practitioner applications for accuracy and completeness
  • Actively follow up with providers in various stages of the onboarding process
  • Track, record, and oversee onboarding status for up to 250 providers at a time
  • Enroll new providers in the system database, online training modules, and provider community site
  • Provide new providers with frequent updates and communication as they transition from each step in the onboarding process
  • Create and provide weekly client status reports
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with credentialing software and online application
  • Manage data and document entry into credentialing software
  • Assisting in preparation for credentialing audits
  • Assist Credentialing Manager as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 – 12 months healthcare related experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills over the phone and through email
  • Extremely detail oriented while managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and still meet aggressive deadlines
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • High energy level, enthusiastic, and eager to do what is necessary to be successful
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Salesforce experience a plus

The typical base salary range for this position is $43200 - $59400. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
