Health Benefits is seeking a Proposal Analyst. This position is responsible for developing, gathering and organizing information in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and for Proposals (RFPs) and Executive Summaries for prospective/renewal clients (simple-medium). Collaborates with various levels of management/subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company (i.e., Region Presidents, Sales Executives, Client Managers, Underwriters, Sales Support, Operations, Legal, Managed Care teams, etc.). Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, which includes responding with RFP information that is complete, accurate and timely.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and adhere to RFP instructions/submission requirements.
  • Conduct RFP kick-off calls as needed.
  • Triage content to SMEs and format RFP response document using standard master template.
  • Generate RFP response documents that are clear, concise, complete, accurate and professional using standard master templates.
  • Coordinate RFP response document(s) through completion, following established and documented RFP team processes.
  • Utilize RFP database tool to populate questionnaires accurately for prospective/renewal questionnaires.
  • Complete all RFP response documents/attachments prior to broker/client defined due dates.
  • Maintain assigned content database topics ensuring information is accurate and updated.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with RFP team, Sales Executives, Region Presidents, Sales Support and SMEs.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of existing and new products, services, networks, vendors, partners and subcontractors
  • Provide support to team members/Director of Proposals as needed
  • Training, tasks/projects as needed/assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English or equivalent experience
  • Three years of previous experience working with RFPs/proposals
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Quality focused
  • Creativity with ability to work with graphics
  • Proven ability to build rapport with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality work under tight timelines while managing multiple RFPs
  • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and Excel
  • Document/file management skills using Microsoft Windows Explorer
  • Minimal travel required (yearly sales summit and others as required)

The compensation range for this Proposal Analyst role is $47,267 to $88, 754. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
