Hill International is seeking a RFI and Submittal Coordinator in Salt Lake City, Utah


  • The candidate will assist the ARP Document Controls Manager and ARP Leadership to ensure the ARP Projects are compliant with: SLCDA Procedures, Airport Improvement Program (AIP), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other agency guidelines, as applicable.
  • The RFI and Submittal Coordinator will report to the ARP Document Controls Manager.

  • The RFI and Submittal Coordinator position requires five (5) years of related project experience at US Airports with five (5) years of prior RFI and Submittal experience on a Capital Improvement Program – or comparable large project.
  • The candidate must be familiar with the various contract delivery methods (for example design-bid-build, design-build, and construction manager at risk). The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop document control procedures with a significant focus on RFIs and Submittals.
  • Candidate should be familiar with systems utilized for tracking RFIs and Submittals such as Unifier and understand the importance of maintaining accurate information and disseminating timely responses.
  • The RFI and Submittal Coordinator must have demonstrated experience overseeing distribution, receiving and tracking RFI and Submittal responses according to Program Procedures.
  • The candidate must also have demonstrated experience related to document retention, archiving, destruction and disposal of voided documents.
  • The RFI and Submittal Coordinator candidate must possess familiarity with the design delivery process including Schematic Design (SD-30% documents), Design Development Documents (DD-60% documents), Construction Documents (CD-100% documents), Bid and Award, Conformed Documents, Requests for Information (RFI), Submittals, Bulletins, As-Built Drawings and Close-out Documentation.
  • The candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam and a Program Management Software System (i.e.: Contract Manager, Expedition, Unifier for example).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with the ARP project staff, owner, architects, engineers, contractors and other agencies are required.
