About the role:
As the liaison between technology, commercial and legal representatives, the Project Manager oversees initiatives driven by the Global Packaging and Labeling Sustainability Team. This role will lead the development and maintenance of Boston Scientific’s Global Packaging Sustainability Program to guide and manage projects. The incumbent will work with related teams to proactively minimize the health, safety, environmental, and social impacts of a product packaging throughout all lifecycle stages, while ensuring compliance and maximizing economic benefits.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing initiatives driven from the Global Packaging and Labeling Sustainability Team; communicate goals and progress to promote sustainability throughout the organization
- Assisting with developing and improving initiatives and programs designed to support sustainability and new product development
- Managing all phases of packaging and labeling projects related to work stream activities; assess and mitigate business risks
- Establishing and implementing project plans, timelines, milestones, roles and resources
- Assigning project activities to appropriate teams; address and eliminate issues to ensure timely completion
- Assisting with creating and managing program dashboards and data analytics to capture relevant information, drive long-term program strategies and deliver a customer-focused programs
- Maintaining the Global Packaging and Labeling Sustainability SharePoint site and internal communication platforms; manage related promotional and educational materials
- Planning and developing training sessions, presentations, and webinars for functional and divisional leadership; interface with cross-functional teams to educate and promote sustainability
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4-6 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2yrs of sustainability and design experience
- Ability to travel 20%
Preferred qualifications:
- Project Management Certification
- Experience working in medical device or similar GMP industry
- Working knowledge of packaging sustainability, Scope 3 reduction and/or life cycle analysis
- Proficient with MS Excel and other MS Office applications
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with strong conflict management and resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbally)
- Results-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and drive performance cross-functionally
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven
