Project Manager

Audubon is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our project team working onsite at a client's plant in Pasadena, TX. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Setting safety expectations for the project, and leading the team to achieve safety goals.
- Participating in field investigations and providing construction support.
- Creating and executing project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Managing the project budget.
- Determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
- Following up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
- Analyzing project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency and utilization.
- Updating engineering standards, required drawings, and records and final documentation of project changes to maintain proper integrity management.
- Overseeing the project scope, budget, and scheduling of capital projects and turnarounds, including preparation and implementation of Project Execution Plan.
- Leading FEL process, completing stage gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals.
- Coordinating resources to perform up front engineering and development of estimates.
- Managing project requests and backlog. Confirm accuracy of cost estimates as well as monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Developing, gain approval for, and managing to project KPI's and metrics.
- Leading development of a risk management plan.
- Reviewing credentials and provide approval for personnel provided form contractors' organizations.
- Understanding contracts and manage contractors to maximize performance, control costs and minimize claims and change orders.
- Ensuring plant Operations and Maintenance personal are engaged and that they understand their responsibilities.
- Establishing and leading processes to ensure the engineering and design integrity is not compromised during the design, construction execution and commissioning phases.
- Accountable for engineering activities from basic engineering to detailed engineering through start-up, to meet the target start-up dates, budget, facilities engineering design integrity, and HSE performance for the project.
- Contributing to establishing common engineering codes and standards.
- Suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- B.S. in Engineering.
- 5+ years project management experience.
- Knowledge of engineering contracting and project execution contracting/strategy.
- Experience in applying process safety management (PSM) and process hazard analysis to address safety aspects of major projects.
- Ability to interact effectively with the operations and process engineering areas to plan turnaround execution and prioritize projects.
