North Wind Site Services is focused on providing engineering, program management, environmental remediation services including investigation and characterization, environmental restoration, unexploded ordnance/military munitions response (MMRP), regulatory public involvement services, environmental compliance, logistics, and records and facility management.



Candidates must be able to meet the standards required to obtain and hold a Secret or Higher US Government Clearance


Performs project management responsibilities. The PM will manage, plan, staff, schedule, budget, coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts all activities of the project to ensure that goals and/or objectives of environmental projects are accomplished within the project time frame and budget; and interact with clients and regulatory agencies. In this role, the PM will use technical skills and experience to analyze data and lead preparation of planning documents and technical reports.

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental science, Engineering, Geology, or related field preferred. Possess at least five (5) years of relevant project management of environmental permitting, investigation, remediation and/or restoration contracts or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years. Relevant experience includes, but not limited to, experience as Project Manager on a federal government contract in the environmental industry with at least one (1) project with size $1 million or greater or significant experience managing multiple task orders per calendar year. Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (PG) or Project Manager Professional (PMP) or ability to obtain and maintain is preferred.

Job Description

  • Reviews project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, self-performance, or subcontract
  • Assists in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitors the progress schedule and its periodic revisions ensuring project stays on track
  • Ensures site safety is at the forefront of each project
  • Works with the Field Team Lead to identify and resolve any project related issues/changes
  • Prepares project budgets and cost codes
  • Prepares project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management, client, and others
  • Performs and/or manages project scheduling, scoping, clarifying, and pricing effort for assigned projects.
  • Experience working directly with federal clients and conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and installing and optimizing remediation systems
  • Ability to plan, perform and oversee field work
  • Ability to effectively interface with Customer and regulators, as well as field workforce.
