The Position

Project Engineer - M4 Program

Job Summary

Based at our North American headquarters in Roswell, Georgia, this role will support Imerys’ industry-leading Mine to Market Mineral Management program (M4) in the Performance Minerals Americas division. We are looking for someone who will develop procedures, support program development, implementation, project design, and help establish documentation and processes. You have a curiosity to understand complex problems involving science, engineering, business, and risk, and you are motivated to solve them. You are familiar with concepts of geology, statistics, manufacturing processes and physical and inorganic chemistry. This position will require interaction across most business functions, and building relationships with professionals across IMERYS. Collaboration with numerous internal and external stakeholders and communicate with a broad range of audiences and deal with complex scientific concepts. You will report to the PMA-NA Engineering team implementing and supporting the M4 program and projects.

The M4 program will involve a number of workflows including geological assessment, statistical representative sampling of ores (raw materials) and product streams, and statistical data analysis and reporting. Capital investments will be required to implement these workflows. This role supports the Capital Engineering team

responsible for managing these capital projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in science or engineering

  • Ability to drafting technical documents and protocols

  • Strong experience with statistics and sampling plans

  • Familiarity with project management and implementation

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem-solver who can build relationships to address critical issues

  • Familiarity with bulk material sampling, laboratory testing, procedures, and reporting

  • Familiarity with quality control systems and resolving identified issues

  • Familiarity with auditing of existing systems and pursuit of continuous improvement

  • Curious thinker and quick learner, willing to take on new tasks as needed

  • Experience using Google Suite a plus

  • Proficiency in Spanish language a plus
