Job description
Full-time position available with Haworth’s largest, global contract furniture dealer. Established in 1981, we are a 2nd generation, family-owned company looking for the ideal candidate to join our team.
Our clients range from local companies to some of the largest companies on the globe with projects ranging from a single office to a fully furnished new building.
The Project Designer will be required to Design, specify, order, manage, and closeout all projects to which he/she is assigned.
- Management of all Projects’ drawings, scope, schedule, and budgets as identified, for the Region for our assigned client. Projects could take place in, but are not limited to, any of the customer buildings.
- This position will interface with Project Managers and other vendors and will require adherence to all processes and procedures currently established or in development.
- The Project Designer will assist Project Team in creating quotes, budgets, and preliminary schedules.
- This position is an integral part of the team and will attend project update meetings regularly.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, removed, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.F.A.) from a four-year college or university in Interior Design, Architecture, or related industry; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years Design experience.
- Proficiency using Auto Cad along with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites of products required.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities preferred.
- Must have outstanding people skills as constant client contact is required.
- Prior Project-Spec experience or equivalent preferred, as is previous experience with Haworth furniture or other major furniture manufactures, at a dealership or manufacturer level.
