Facilities Project Accountant Area Lead
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant (Project Manager Assistant) Area Lead for the Facilities Project Control Department. Leadership, attention to detail and culture are key elements to success in this role. The area lead will work closely with the Project Control Department Manager and the department team, internal clients, and our division leadership. This role will manage project accountant team members in several different offices. The primary office locations for this posting are in Appleton, Boise, Madison, Minneapolis, and Plover office locations. Other office locations with Facilities staff are open to discussion.
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform current accountant and/or procurement duties
- Involvement on the most complex projects
- Supervise other division project accountant personnel
- Approve timecards and expense reports
- Establish goals and objectives
- Perform appraisals/reviews
- Manage personnel to meet project, department, and individual objectives
- Manage and maintain a balanced workload for the project accountant team through project, Business Development and overhead reporting task assignments
- Fulfill Management Tasks within the Department
- Lead meetings and applicable conference calls
- Attend cross-divisional project accountant meetings
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project accountant team as it relates to working in POWERs financial systems
- Identify areas and methods for process improvement within the project accountant group and the department as a whole
- Collaborate with Facilities project staff assistant area lead and department manager on goal progress and continued vision for the department
- Provide training and mentoring for project accountant personnel
Required Education/Experience
- Candidate should have seven (7)+ years of professional experience.
- Five (5)+ years’ experience in project accounting, project controls or procurement
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Advanced analytical skills
Desired Education/Experience
- Certification from AACE or PMI
- Associate degree or BS/BA in Business, Finance or Accounting
- A degree in business, accounting, or finance, and/or five (5) + years of equivalent experience is preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience is preferred

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $50K - $75K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
