National Grid is hiring a Program Manager, Reliability Compliance for our NE Electric Engineering Projects and Programs department. This position can be based in Waltham, MA, Syracuse, NY or Hanson Place, Brooklyn Greenpoint, NY.
The Team
Our Team is responsible for ensuring National Grid’s compliance with NERC Reliability Standards, NPCC, and ISO requirements. By ensuring the fulfillment of the regulatory obligations under which our business activities are conducted, we help enable the reliability, resiliency, and security of the Bulk Electric System.
What You'll Do
- Prepare Incident Analysis (IA) reports, compliance assessments, and develop Internal Controls for NERC Reliability Standards
- Support planning and development of audit deliverables
- Engage with regulators, peer utilities, and industry organizations as well as internal stakeholders
- Provide backup support for CIP access revocations, tracking of training and personnel risk assessments (PRAs)
About You
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of detail-oriented work experience preferred
- In lieu of degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of detail-oriented work experience required
- Demonstrated personal initiative, integrity and ability to interact with company personnel, consultants, and/or regulatory representatives in a positive, collaborative manner
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints required
- Strong skills in: project management, stakeholder engagement, presentation, interpersonal, oral & written communication, critical analysis preferred
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required
- Experience developing SharePoint sites preferred

Waltham, MA: $96,000 - $113,000 a year
Syracuse, NY: $86,000 - $101,000 a year
Hanson Place, NY $103,000 - $121,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
