AECOM is currently seeking a Program Manager with a working knowledge and experience of access controls, doors & hardware, and fire alarm systems for our higher education projects located in Miami-Dade County.
The person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Directs and managers the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
- Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
- Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.
- Installation background, with knowledge and expertise to source, procure, track and manage the
- procurement and installation of the replacement
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education as noted above
Preferred Requirements
- PM with knowledge of and experience with retrofit and/or remodel work in active facilities with a focus on Fire alarm, life safety, and security systems (“Safety/Security”) installation background, with knowledge and expertise to source, procure, track and manage the procurement and installation of the replacement Safety/Security equipment.
- PM with knowledge of and experience with OEM Safety Security Manager for all campuses. The PM will manage OEM Program projects, and support other Campus PM teams, to conduct or manage the following processes:
- A detailed field inventory of the equipment, conducted by building, that is to be replaced per direction and prioritization by OEM based on the current FCA or other assessment methods by the college.
- Manage full scope of OEM projects: Planning, Design, Construction, Permit Application and review.
- Communicate with all campus stakeholders and relevant trades, maintenance and construction management
- when needed.
- Work with members of OEM on project impacts and door commissioning such as the Chief Locksmith
- Review and comment on all construction projects related to Safety/Security and door hardware per MDC/OEM design criteria and standards.
- Engineering evaluation of available equipment of similar capacities for suitability of application,
- Manage the logistics and delivery of new doors, hardware and equipment
- Work collaboratively with campus Project Managers to identify and engage CM teams to procure and manage
- the removal and replacement of Safety/Security equipment/devices.
- Manage the execution and documentation of all OEM projects, spreadsheets, and quarterly reports that may be required for the new equipment, including any programing or recommissioning of full systems as may be required
- Compile and deliver to OEM all information required for proper asset management of the new security system equipment.
- Obtain, compile, and deliver to OEM all warranties and guaranties, O&M manuals, and spare parts, special tools and equipment that may be required for the proper operation and maintenance of the new equipment.
- Experience with MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to develop advanced financial reporting and tracking reports and ability to work in a minimally managed environment
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with faculty, students, and staff
