Vacancy - Mentor Chippewa Program Coordinator

Position: Mentor Chippewa - Program Coordinator
Start Date: 2023-2024 school year
Salary/Wage: $15/hour
Appointment Type: Part-time, up to 20 hours/week; flexibility with scheduling in consideration of program needs; no benefits
Term: One-year contract (July - June); option to renew based on funding
Schedule:

● Weekdays: Regular school hours (between 7:30am - 4pm); flexible schedule to meet program needs, following the school year calendar (July 1 - June 30)

● Weekends: Rarely
● Evenings: Rarely
● Summers: Minimal

Description
Mentor Chippewa is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator position for the
2023-2024 school year to support our partnerships with the Chippewa, Menomonie, and New Auburn area school districts. This position reports to the Program
Manager. Day-to-day responsibilities vary based on the current needs of the program, but may include work in the areas of program organization, technology, and community relations; other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or
Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications
● Two-year Associates degree; or currently enrolled in a two or four-year degree program
● Basic computer knowledge and ability to use
● Understanding of basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, fax and ability to use

Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in human or social sciences, education, or other related field; Experience in education, social work, sociology, psychology, or human services related field, or a combination thereof considered a plus;

● Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written);
● Ability to build authentic relationships with youth and adults;
● Understanding of the mentoring field (as a mentor/mentee);
● Grant writing experience considered a plus
