Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Student Health Service exist to provide UNCG students with primary health care in order to: Minimize loss of education for health reasons; Protect the health of individuals within the University community; Teach students the value and nature of quality preventive and curative medicine; Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy atmosphere in which both students and faculty/staff live and work.
Position Summary
The staff nurse the Student Health Services, utilizes the nursing process: Problem Identification; Assessment; Planning; Intervention, and Evaluation. The nurse at the Student Health Center functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team.
In addition to providing direct care to the students and provide clinical support in several areas such as: Immunization Clinic; Sports Medicine Clinic; Women’s Health Clinic; Medical Clinic

Minimum Qualifications
License to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
