Whitney Brothers has been in business since 1904 is a local woodworking manufacturer of children's furniture is looking for production workers.
You’ll have an opportunity to… contribute to the team utilizing standard procedures for product packing/assembly/manufacturing, raw material handling, equipment operation, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Flexible, willing to try new methods, creativity helps.
· Follow all safety policies for general plant safety and specific machinery/workstations.
· Take action to minimize waste and maximize output.
· Work in a safe manner at all times following established policies and procedures.
Key Skills Required:
· Ability to follow verbal, visual, and/ or written instructions.
· Attention to Detail
· Able to work with co-workers in a teamwork environment.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work at a fast pace to meet department units and production needs.
· Constant focus with mental and visual attention is required to monitor product quality process.
· Requires flexibility for performing various job duties, as well as have the ability to adapt to changing assignments as needed to meet production demands.
· Requires visual and judgmental skills in determining an acceptable or unacceptable quality of parts during assembly and packing processes.
Physical Requirements:
· Standing for full shift
· Bending and squatting.
· Lifting 5 to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
· Lifting 40 to 70 lbs. on a frequent basis.
· Lifting 70 to 150 lbs. of shared weight on an occasional basis.
· Repetitive motion usage of hands.
· Firm grasping.
· Manual dexterity.
