We currently have an opening for a 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift (TBD)Production Shift Supervisor at our Burleson, TX location. Must be available on Day Shift for Training.

Position Summary -

The Production Supervisor is expected to lead the production activities required to create the highest quality products in an efficient and cost-effective manner that promotes employee engagement and ideas to continually improve safety, processes, and overall plant efficiency. Accountabilities are tied directly to safety, plant housekeeping, 1st pass quality, raw material utilization, and production rates.

Role & Responsibilities –

• Must work in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and co-workers.
• Lead team of Production Team Members in areas including Receiving, Extrusion, Packaging, and Shipping.
• Train employees in company policies and procedures.
• Position is hands – on, must become very proficient with the roles and responsibilities for each operator position and fill in when needed.
• Routinely conducts safety audits to detect unsafe behaviors, practices, and conditions; takes necessary action to promote and assure a safe work environment.
• Documents and reports critical data and information tied to safety, quality, process variables, production metrics, and personnel performance.
• Ensures that key raw material, process, and product variables are continuously monitored and appropriate action is taken when needed.
• Leads troubleshooting activities during unplanned events.
• Assures necessary raw material are available in quantities to meet the production schedule.
• Maintains a strong presence on the production floor; closely collaborates with plant leadership and engineering.
• Maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Executes to Plan
• Recognizes talent within the hourly staff and cultivates an environment that encourages growth and advancement.
• Lead with integrity and fairness.
• Proactively perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements -

• 4-year degree in a technical discipline preferred; demonstrated background and knowledge will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skill, excellent team building skills, ability to effectively manage conflict, and maintain strong employee relations.
• Background and experience with twin screw extruders and ancillary support systems is preferred.
• Background in the manufacture of building products preferred. - Effective PC skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
