What's the role?

The Production Bill of Materials (BOM)/Routing Specialist is responsible for the development and maintenance of the of manufacturing BOMs and Routers in preparation for the business to transition into an SAP Enterprise Resource Planning environment. This role will manage and facilitate document change in an Engineer to Order “ETO” or Manufacture to Order “MTO” production environment.

What does the role involve?

• Define and reviews production requirement packages and quality requirements prior to order creation by collaborating with the Project Management and Engineering teams.

• Upload those requirements within the Enterprise Resource Planning environment & apply production routing sequences to fabricated parts for the VASC and Engineering Service Center ESC.

• Performs quality checks of Engineering Drawings provided by the Engineering Center of Excellence Team by verifying drawing information against the global Prefab guidelines such as assembly Bill of Material (BOM) cut types, material item number, measurements, and formatting of the drawing.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that BOM lists are constantly maintained via DFMEA process and evolve in line with recent modifications or changes (Change Management process).

What you need is:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical or engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment with configuration management and BOM accountability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Proven experience performing manufacturing planning processes and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) (Choose beginner, intermediate, advanced).
• Experience using MRP or ERP systems (MM, PP, QM, PM, MES modules).
• Motivation to learn and improve processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
