Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSEMBLY - Coordinate with others to ensure that schedule is met in assembling, packaging and shipping of plaque and trophy orders, ensuring that final products are consistent, defect and error free
- Production of custom components using graphic software to either laser engraver, rotary engraver, or digital printer plate material.
- Assembly of products using prepared templates with use of foot operated drill, hammer and spiral-action screwdriver
- Wrapping of finished product in tissue and appropriate cardboard and packaging supplies
- Moving finished items to warehouse until shipping instructions are received from customers
- Ensure that packages are shipped to appropriate sites as scheduled using computer shipping system
- Recording dates of completion and shipping
- Using computer software to rotary engrave or laser engrave medals & plates
- using a typewriter to order materials needed and computers to send orders
DAILY SCHEDULING - Coordinate with others to ensure that items which have been ordered are received in a timely manner to ensure a proper schedule of the finished product is kept.
- Observe production schedule to ensure timely delivery of items needed
- Receiving items from vendors ensuring the quality and quantity of items ordered and organizing items in building
- Communicating with vendors via email or phone to ask/answer questions
PREPARATION – Coordinate with others to ensure the proper inventory of items needed
- Ordering items and inventorying items as needed
Engraving material
Wooden awards, sport plates, medals
Packaging materials
- Preparing plates using a computer engraving table, or laser engraver
- Taking inventory and pricing inventory items
Knowing and preparing inventory for future orders
PROBLEM SOLVING – Individual should be able to design, initiate, and communicate new ideas to enhance the work place.
- Use computers and programs such as Excel, MS Word
- Any graphic design knowledge would be helpful
- Know how to use basic wood working tools and equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
