Job Description:

The Product Assembly Associate is responsible for assembling product according to designated procedures while executing assembly in an accurate and efficient manner. This position also assists in quality control efforts via maintaining raw material supplies in assembly stations, as well as placing finished product in the appropriate storage area. The Product Assembly Associate reports up to the Product Assembly Manager.

Where you'll be spending your time:

  • Assisting with product packaging, quality control, shop organization, and product assembly
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Records time on build sheets for each process of assembly
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Uses proper tools, chemicals, adhesives, equipment to complete projects
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and reporting problems or concerns to supervisor
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and using required safety equipment and/or protection
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to details
  • Flexible with shifting responsibilities
  • Team-oriented
  • Stable work experience (preferably in the warehouse/distribution arena); but willing to train the "right' candidate for the job

Your work environment:

  • Requires repetitive movement and repeating the same physical or mental activities
  • Requires ability to bend, push, pull, and move objects on a regular basis
  • Requires ability to sit/stand throughout entire shift
  • Requires ability to lift up 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 40 lbs. on occasion
  • Requires ability to use handheld tools and equipment including but not limited to: wrenches, sockets, allen keys, screwdrivers, razor blades, picks, stapler, hammer, mallet, hand crimper, measuring tools
  • Requires ability to use powered tools including but not limited to: Drill, air compressor, pneumatic stapler, sealed air foam machine, sealed air foam mold wheel, Schlueniger electric wire stripper, pneumatic terminal crimper, shop vac, belt sander, palm sander, forklift
  • Requires using chemicals and adhesives including but not limited to brake cleaner, stainless polish, red Loctite, blue Loctite, superglue, vibratite thread sealant, grease, Lysol wipes
  • Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or products.
  • Job requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Requires ability to speak/read English.
