Preschool Nutritionist/Cook

As Nutritionist of Salem Methodist Preschool your role is very important in helping to maintain the healthy eating practices & nutrition of all children & Families that we serve. The ideal candidate will have 4 essential roles which include:

• Meal/Snack Prep & Delivery
• Cleaning & Sanitation
• Record Keeping/ Inventory/ Purchasing
• SMP Early Childhood Nutrition Program

The Preschool Nutritionist will be expected to:

• Prepare child-friendly, diverse and developmentally appropriate meals & snacks for a small group of Preschool-aged children daily
• Adhere to DCFS & Cook County Health Dept. regulations regarding food distribution/collection, storage, preparation and all kitchen operations & sanitation
• Preform accurate record keeping, inventory monitoring & purchasing of all food/ nutrition related program needs
• Maintaining a functional relationship with all vendors/distributor
• Oversees all operations related to SMP Early Childhood Nutrition Program
• Gain or maintain Food Handler Certification
• Lift 30 lbs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.98 - $20.86 per hour
