Job Responsibilities: Effectively operates and manages all aspects of a child care facility, including enrollment building, human resources, customer experience, etc...Empowers the teachers to fully implement the curriculum. Actively develops and maintains positive customer/community relations. Takes a primary role in growing the Academy by enrolling and retaining families. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING:
- Having fun!
- Managing all day-to-day aspects of the center
- Managing staff including creating weekly schedules, performance reviews, reviewing lesson plans
- Enrollment including tours, and onboarding new families
- Administrative duties including supply management, budget management, maintaining contracts and files
- Hiring and overseeing training of staff
- Making sure that the center stays in compliance with all Community Care Licensing - Title 22 rules and regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment.
- Communicate positively with students, parents and staff.
- Participate collaboratively and professionally with staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
- Assist children with personal needs such as diaper changing, potty training, hand washing
- Supervise children if needed including during nap time
WHAT’S REQUIRED:
- Pass a background check
- Must meet the requirements to serve as a preschool assistant director or director as outlined in Community Care Licensing - Title 22
- Proof of Immunizations (MMR, TDaP) as required by Community Care Licensing
- Physical Exam as required by Community Care Licensing
- Negative TB test
- High school diploma or equivalency. BA or MA in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Site supervisor or Program Director permit preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
- Ability to stand up and sit on the ground for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- CPR & First Aid
- Ability to work between the hours of 6:30am-6pm Monday to Friday when needed. Flexibility is key as somedays you may not work full days.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
