TITLE: POWER BI DEVELOPER
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation Range : $90k - $100k + bonus
A national real estate firm is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join his local team. The Power BI Developer will be the go-to Power BI resource for the BI team and has responsibility for developing Power BI analytics, dashboards, and reports related to the company's data warehouse development and maintenance as well as the creation of both standard and specialized analytics. The Power BI Developer also possesses an understanding of Power BI gateway and administrative work. Experience working with DAX is required. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be working with internal IT teams as well as the business to create custom reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with business stakeholders to design and build visual reports and dashboard using modern Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
• Power BI development and administration
• Strong working knowledge of: Power BI, Power Query, DAX, SQL, Power BI gateway and administrative work
• Work with business users for continuous improvement of existing dashboards, reports and datasets
• Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources
• The position we are seeking will support the build-out of this platform using Power BI as the tool for dashboards and operational reporting
• Enable business partners to leverage Business Intelligence tools for their analytical needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree required; Information Technology or Business degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience working with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, API).
• Strong Knowledge of self-service BI strategies, user adoption, and deployment methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and OLAP databases.
• DAX skills required.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Power BI required.
• Experience with Azure DevOps a plus.
• Should be highly proficient in Microsoft office applications.
• Ability to identify and meet internal customer requirements and expectations including appropriate sense of urgency.
• Strong follow – up skills and patience required. Must maintain high level of confidentiality of user information.
• Ability to research and analyze reports and data in detail to find solutions to systems and report issues. The position will support the build-out of this platform using Power BI as the tool for dashboards and operational reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
