Job Title: Post Production Technician

Reports to: Cultivation Director

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

Position Summary: The role is responsible for all duties related to the harvest, trim and curing/drying, bucking of the cannabis plants in our facilities. Duties performed include maintaining harvesting equipment, hand trim, handling post-harvest plants, and processing cannabis waste.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that all trimming equipment, tools and machinery are always functional
  • Participate in all steps of the process including drying, curing, trimming, and bucking.
  • Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system.
  • Make specific adjustments to trimming equipment to ensure quality control and efficiency of trimming work. Start-up trimming equipment at the beginning of each shift and ensure proper closing down at the end of the shift
  • Be able to hand trim 3+ pounds per 8-hour shift
  • Ensure that work areas are clean and maintained at all times
  • Ensure that end products conform to quality and quantity standards
  • Measure cannabis accurately so that optimal levels of production are met
  • Coordinate efforts with production and cultivation workers to ensure that finished products are loaded safely into the appropriate areas based on workflows
  • Weigh and store finished products and ensure that all pertinent information is accurately recorded in the appropriate logs
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Post Production Manager

Basic Job Specifications:

  • Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of the Company
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively verbally and in writing with various audiences
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives
  • Ability to work well in a Team Oriented Environment
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license or State ID card
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year previous manufacturing, production experience, preferably in cannabis cultivation
  • Agricultural/growing experience
  • High School Diploma preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
