Job Title: Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter

Reports to: Sous Chef

Job Class: Non-Exempt

Hire prior to opening: 2 weeks

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Scrape and sort dishes before loading them into the dishwashing machine for cleaning.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and sanitation levels during sanitary wash cycle.
• Unload the dishwashing machine after a wash to put away utensils and dishes at proper storage units.
• Sweep and Mop floors as deemed necessary by cleaning schedule and Management.
• Bag kitchen trash and discard. Help with any cardboard breakdown or miscellaneous tasks as well.
• Maintain adequate levels of detergents and other cleaning supplies in the kitchen, restock as needed.
• Stock and arrange kitchen utensils and dishes in an orderly manner.
• Maintain a customer-focused attitude while performing job duties.
• Conduct a daily walkthrough of all spaces to ensure operating departments are practicing proper cleanliness in compliance with the Health Code.
• Clean and or properly maintain all public spaces on a consistent basis and stock paper goods where necessary.
• Maintain clear paths for all fire exits in compliance with Fire Code.
• Participate in the physical count of all BOH wares, as requested.
• Collaborate with BOH management on necessary cleaning supplies. Alert manager if there is an issue.
• Aid in efforts to control breakage by handling service wares with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
