The Club: Located on picturesque Cape in Mashpee, Massachusetts, Willowbend Country Club offers many fantastic amenities that include award-winning championship golf, gourmet dining options, state-of-the art facilities, a grand clubhouse, and racquet sports including an extensive tennis program and pickleball courts.

The Opportunity: We are hiring a Pool Manager to oversee pool operations this summer.

General Duties

• Greet members and their guests cordially and help them with the sign in sheet.
• Ensure that guests are properly registered.
• Assist in the distribution of pool towels and help guests with lounge chair and umbrellas needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable pool environment. This includes the pool deck area, restrooms, playground area and pool itself.
• Follow and train staff on pool emergency procedures.
• Assist with cabana inquiries and requests.
• Coordinate swimming lessons for members/guests as requested.
• Welcome new members and inform them of facility policies and procedures.
• Report any unsafe conditions or pool water quality issues immediately.
• Fill water dispensers, manage music selection and volume.
• Maintain fully stocked first aid kit. Ensure that safety equipment is readily available and in good working condition.
• Ensures lifeguard staff is attentive in watching swimmers at all times.
• Maintain sign out logs for pool property (basketballs, ping pong paddles and balls, games, etc.)
• Assist Fitness Director with the implementation and running of special events at the pool.
• Ensure pool staff is in proper uniform at all times.
• Control and report unruly behavior and when necessary, evicting members or guests not adhering to posted pool rules.
• Responsible for accurate billing of swim lessons, guest fees and merchandise sales daily.
• Ensuring daily opening and closing checklists are completed by lifeguard staff and that towels are sent to housekeeping in a timely manner.
• Keep storage and closets neat and organized at all times.
• Schedule staff based on the approved budget. Any overtime must be approved by the Fitness Director in advance.
• Watch staffing during inclement weather. Call off staff in sufficient time when weather conditions deem necessary.
• Ensure accurate recording of lifeguards time record weekly
• Work in any capacity that requires attention during service.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Current CPR/AED certification

Necessary Knowledge, Ability and Skill:

Ability to consistently deliver a high quality standard of service with emphasis on continued improvement.

Ability to train, motivate and supervise.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to interact effectively with members/guests and the general public.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for duration of shifts, and to lift equipment, etc.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and move about freely in a multi-floor building. The employee is frequently required to visually observe the condition of his/her surroundings. Routinely required to bend, stoop, stand, walk, carry and lift objects weighing 50 pounds or less.
