Responsibilities/Job Description:
  • Coordinates system wide management of policies and related documents. This includes development, standardization, revision and implementation in conjunction with document owners, reviewers and approvers.
  • Ensures all documents are accurate, current and in compliance with regulations in collaboration with other functions such as Regulatory Affairs and Compliance & Risk.
  • Collaborates with process stakeholders to improve policy and standard work adoption and sustainment, as well as influence employee behavior (including appropriate document management and utilization).
  • Reviews documents and provides feedback to owners, reviewers and approvers using a high level of written and verbal communication skills and excellent critical thinking skills within all levels of the organization.
  • Maintains integrity of document management system, including definitions, classifications, workflows and templates.
  • Provides training on processes and best practices to all partners.
  • Analyzes and researches internal and external policy and document management procedures; makes recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Captures and maintains measures for policy management assessments.
  • Participates in Process Improvement (PI) within the organization.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (health care related field preferred)
Required Experience:
  • 3-5 years health care related work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong digital literacy
Preferred Experience:
  • 3-5 years proven experience with policy management in healthcare
  • Knowledge and experience with document management software
  • Awareness in LEAN process improvement methods
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory standards
