What You Will Do:
The Policy Lead will be the project’s primary expert on policies and practices related to the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of international development and humanitarian assistance programs.

What You Will Need:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance.

• At least 9 years of experience.

• The individual must possess a graduate degree in economics, sociology, various sciences, public policy, international affairs, or other disciplines related to international development.

• The individual must have significant experience serving in a senior management capacity with an international development organization and multiple years of relevant overseas experience.

• The Policy Lead’s experience must include overseeing the planning, design and execution of a bilateral or multilateral assistance program for an international organization, to include a strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation systems and program performance reviews.

• The Policy Lead must have a demonstrated understanding of U.S. Government budget and financial management processes, federal regulations related to foreign assistance contracts and assistance awards, general legal and ethics parameters related to U.S. foreign assistance, and due diligence practices in foreign assistance oversight.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• A PhD and previous experience with USAID is preferred but not required.
