Description:

• This job will consist of operating and helping maintain an asphalt plant. Ideker has four asphalt plants located around the KC Metro. This is a union position with excellent pay and benefits. The plant operator, in addition to operating the plant, will: Communicate with customers and paving crews; maintain aggregate stockpiles and liquid AC levels; make sure the plant is being maintained; oversee 2-3 employees at any given time.

Requirements:

• MUST have prior experience
• Excellent communication and people skills for employee and customer relations
• Good computer and math skills for data entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for recordkeeping
• Problem solving skills to help identify and resolve issues
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Other duties may be assigned
