Shifts: ALL

Pay: $23-28 WEEKLY PAY

The Machine Tool Pipefitter is responsible for hosing and piping of tools, fixtures and associated equipment used primarily within robotic/automated assembly lines for the automotive industry. The Pipefitter should be familiar with hose, push to connect tubing and fittings. The Pipefitter is also responsible for threading and grooving pipe. Experience in reading pneumatic schematics and trouble shooting.

Responsibilities and Duties for Machine Tool Pipefitter

• Install and maintain pressure system of piping
• Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
• Prepare own layouts
• Fabricate and weld valve bank frames and other welding requirements
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components and water systems
• Operate various machine tools and equipment
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy.
• Follow all safety rules, standards, and procedures at all times in all areas.
• Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly.
• Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products.

Qualifications for Machine Tool Pipefitter

• Must be able to use hand tools
• Hand benders, power threaders, hydraulic hose grimpers, etc. are a plus
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints accurately as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Ability to work as a team member and individually
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade
• Must have own tools
• Good communication skills
• Good mathematical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
