Woodland Grove Health and Rehabilitation located in beautiful DeLand, FL is dedicated to offering the most advanced therapies, highest quality of skilled nursing care, delicious menu options, and engaging activities all to enhance the overall well-being of each individual resident. To maintain our quality of service and continuation of care to our members we are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant on a Per Diem basis to join our Therapy department.
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)-PRN

We are searching for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with the following qualities and skills:
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida
Provide individual Physical Therapy services to residents according to the plan of care.
Brief resident of procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment.
Assist in transporting residents to and from physical therapy room or area.
Demonstrate to resident and nursing personnel, as necessary, the use of medical appliances involved in physical therapy (e.g., wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetic appliances and devices).
Perform physical therapy in resident’s room, as necessary.
Assist in preparing resident for treatment by dress or position and administer physical therapy in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Encourage resident to perform and/or participate in ADL functions.
Communicate with supervisory Physical Therapist regarding Plan of Care.
Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.10 - $38.95 per hour
