The new Photolithography Equipment Engineer at the South Portland Wafer Fab will be responsible for activities, improvements, and procedures in support of Photolithography Equipment, with a concentration on ASML 5500 series Steppers. The individual will also train on the other photolithography and metrology tools in the area.
This position will require the balancing of tactical everyday demands in a busy wafer fab with the strategic demands of a site that is growing. A strong safety mindset is paramount. The ability and willingness to work as part of a collaborative team with other equipment engineers and equipment technicians is also a necessity to success in this position.
The schedule for this position is primarily M-F 8:00 – 5:00, with periodic support on nights and weekends as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain high availability of the ASML Stepper tools by continuing existing PM (preventive maintenance) procedures combined with good CM (corrective maintenance) practices.
- Work side by side with onsite ASML Field Service Engineer to review Daily tool logs, and identify/correct potential issues. Coordinate PM’s and Repairs.
- Work closely with Photo Process Engineers to manage tool matching, overlay, and monitor tool image quality.
- Manage ASML Spare Parts VPC (Volume Parts) program and identify lower cost opportunities with other vendors when possible.
- Write maintenance procedures and provide equipment technicians the necessary training to perform these procedures.
- Participate in the installation, modification, and upgrade of equipment
- Evaluate and recommend future equipment purchases
Education & Experience:
- BS Degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechanical Engineering required.
- 2- 5 years minimum of semiconductor fabrication experience required
- 2- 5 years minimum of Repair and PM experience on ASML5500 I-Line and DUV Steppers required
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and semiconductor processes, and relevant software.
- Experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Other:
- Experience with other photolithography equipment such as TEL ACT8 and FSI Tracks, SUSS Aligners, and Nikon Scopes preferred.
- Experience on Metrology Equipment such as AMAT CDSEMs and KLA Tencor Inspection equipment is a plus.
