Position:
River Riders is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated photographer to capture the experiences of our guests during their adventures with us! We are based in Harpers Ferry, WV just about 20 minutes from Frederick, MD, Winchester, VA, and Martinsburg, WV.
River Riders have provided remarkable experiences for guests for over 30 years. We have a strong commitment to helping our guests discover and rediscover their passion for the outdoors. We are looking for photographers who are ready to challenge themselves to deliver quality photographs as well as immersing themselves in our culture. Candidates must be enthusiastic about outdoor recreation! This role may present an opportunity for growth into our Photography Supervisor position.
Responsibilities:
The Photographer’s primary responsibility is to capture images of our guests during their experiences with us including white water rafting, tubing, zip line, and adventure park. You will be expected to help maintain the photography equipment. You will report to the Photography Manager and General Manager. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is ready to work in a fast paced environment and someone who has a strong creative edge. This person is expected to have a passion for photography, customer service, and outdoor recreation. This position may also require you to be near/on adventures with the guests in order to capture exceptional photos. To excel in this role, you must be friendly, energetic, and a great communicator.
Requirements:
Mandatory: Basic experience with adventure and outdoor photography, basic sales experience, must be 18 or older, must be able to walk up to 1 mile, must be able to lift 25 lbs, must be comfortable on/near water, uneven/slippery terrain, and understands various camera technology and techniques.
Preferred: Portfolio to show previous experience with outdoor photography, and familiar with Harpers Ferry, WV/River Riders.
Pay:
Pay will commensurate with experience plus commission based on picture sales.
Starting rate: $12.50 per hour
