Electronics of the future will be highly integrated and multifunctional - this job posting explores new electronics that could be on the road in 5 to 10 years.
For the development of future integrated power electronics for electric vehicles we are looking for a PhD student (m/f/d) limited to 3 years for the Technology and Innovation department. The PhD thesis aims to develop a multifunctional converter that can represent AC and DC conversion. To improve the electromagnetic compatibility, possibilities for active filtering will be explored.
Your new responsibilities:
- Concept development and evaluation of multifunctional converters
- Simulation and optimization with respect to efficiency, EMC and component design
- Development of high-voltage power electronics
- system validation
- Presentation at technical conferences, expert panels and customer meetings
Your profile:
- Degree in electrical engineering or comparable
- Advanced knowledge of power electronics, ideally in the HV area
- Knowledge of EMC
- Simulation experience in Matlab Simulink, Spice, Plecs or similar applications
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Curiosity for completely new approaches, openness for complex contexts, analytical and practical skills in the implementation of prototypes
