St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Mail Order Pharmacist to join our Specialty Pharmacy team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to manage our mail order prescription program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the processing and fulfillment of prescription orders, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday business hours, no weekends nor holidays.

• Manage the inventory of mail order supplies, including envelopes, coolers, and other packaging materials, to ensure an adequate supply is available for processing orders
• Continuously monitor and assess the quality of mail order prescription processing, including accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Stay up-to-date on changes in pharmacy regulations, policies, and best practices, and ensure that the mail order prescription program complies with all applicable laws and regulationsReview appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy
• Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses and medical staff
• Interpret prescriptions, compound and dispense medications
• Supervise and authorize the work of technicians, externs, interns and support staff
• Prepare and maintains all necessary records on medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records and inventory
• Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center
• May assist in the training of technicians, externs, interns, residents and other department staff
• Serve as a role model and mentor to technicians, students, residents and new practitioners
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Valid Idaho Pharmacist License
