Cody Dental Group is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant, with Pedo experience, to join our established family practice, located in Denver, CO. This is a full-time, 4-day-per-week, position with an office that has been serving the community for over 75 years! Our ideal team member is someone who truly enjoys working with kids and someone who can bring high energy and enthusiasm to the office on a daily basis. We love what we do!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome patients into the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as needed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep operatories clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a dental assistant, Pedo experience preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, etc. is a plus
• Proficient with computers, Denticon experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

Requirements for consideration:

• 2+ years of 4-handed Dental Assisting experience - Pedo preferred
• X-ray certification
• Valid health care provider CPR/BLS Certificate
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EDDA)
