Continental Management is recruiting for a payroll specialist to process and manage the company's payroll utilizing paycom payroll software and assist the legal department with general administrative duties.

Payroll:

  • Responsible for the full-cycle payroll process for 400+ team members, including processing payroll, bonuses, garnishments, tax payments, insurance deductions, PTO, Mileage, etc
  • Maintain, review, and audit payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including changes to salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Provide accurate and timely processing of payroll updates and changes internally and related to payroll laws and regulations
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and supervisors

Legal assistance (when payroll is complete):

  • process mail
  • update clients with hearing dates and copies of documents
  • update files and tracking sheets
  • contact courts to request copies of documents

Skills:

  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Basic knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
  • Trustworthy with ability to ensure confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational ability with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or relevant field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
