The Payroll Accountant is responsible for reconciling and providing analytics on payroll-related activity for all brands and subsidiaries within the organization and posting payroll-related transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the bonus database, including processing payroll requests for weekly payouts, booking bonus accruals, and ensuring all bonuses meet defined criteria.
- Work closely with the Payroll department to ensure processed payrolls are accounted appropriately and any payroll clearing variances are identified.
- Reconcile assigned payroll and benefit related balance sheet accounts to multiple external systems and data sources, researching variances as needed.
- Field various ad-hoc requests for data and reporting
- Provide support to the brand accountants by researching and explaining unexpected variances and fluctuations in payroll accounts
- Identify automation opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives
- Assist with external audits
- Cross-train and provide back up for preparing and recording payroll-related journal entries and metrics.
