Responsibilities*
- Provide expert skill in navigating infusion grid openings and closures and template redesign changes utilizing Leantaas/Iqueue specialized scheduling tool
- Effectively addresses urgent template closures and reschedules patients utilizing scheduling tools independently
- Serve as point person to provide infusion appointment allocation for urgent same day and next day appointments.
- Serves as an infusion unit scheduling expert and is consistently available to clinic schedulers to assist with the complexities of infusion scheduling.
- Provides formal training/onboarding to clinic schedulers on infusion scheduling guidelines and functionality of Iqueue/LeanTaas scheduling tool.
- Expected to be proficient in identifying problems, seeking and implementing solutions as it relates to Infusion Scheduling and the associated Cadence functionality
- Demonstrates proficiency screening for incorrect infusion scheduling and following up with and schedulers using Infusion Scheduling guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively in all methods of communication including face to face, through Michart, TEAMS etc.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with both with the public and interdepartmentally
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability
- High-functioning scheduler that can make complex scheduling decisions and coordination across departments
- Overseeing and assisting Work queues as indicated
- Ability to learn MiChart Reporting functions and the ability to run MiChart reports and analyze as needed
- Oversee assigned MiChart In Baskets
- Participate in team/clinical meetings
- Lead/participate in the PSA Clinic Huddle
- Responding to customer complaints with integrity and uses service recovery as indicated.
- Participate in infusion scheduling process improvement
- Cross coverage for PS Assistant and Associate roles
Required Qualifications*
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 3 years of previous work experience working with the public.
- Prior experience performing complex scheduling
- Familiarity with obtining medical records or professional medical billing
- Demonstrated ablity to interact with a diverse population
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated record of excellent attendance
- Exhibits professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty, and staff
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
- Deonstrated excellent customer service skills with the public
- General office practice experience is required
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated active listening and information technology skills
Desired Qualifications*
- EPIC/MiChart experience.
- Experience working within a large, complex health care setting.
- Prior experience performing complex scheduling.
- Ability to understand medical documentation and general knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of university policies & procedures.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
