As Sales Support (Oncology) Manager, you will be responsible for educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) to safely and compliantly use our products for the benefit of patients. You will conduct branded and unbranded educational programs with HCPs involved in treating and managing patients, who may benefit from the utilization of GSK Oncology products. You will also train HCPs in both the community and hospital settings where patients with malignancies are treated to optimize patient selection and clinical outcomes.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Identify and conduct outreach to key HCPs in the institutions and oncology clinical practice sites, to build and strengthen relationships and represent GSK Oncology products
  • Conduct in-service meetings to educate HCPs on therapy management, consistent with existing Product Information (PI), including first-prescription clinical education and safety monitoring
  • Plan and execute formal educational programs to educate HCPs on disease state and clinical messages (e.g. therapy adherence and dosing) consistent with existing PI to achieve established goals and priorities for the role
  • Partner closely with and collaborate with regional sales directors and sales associates to effectively educate appropriate HCPs and to help ensure patient safety
  • Engage with commercial associates to assist in internal training workshops and development of training materials
  • Communicate appropriately with internal stakeholders (e.g. medical information, clinical development, drug safety and commercial) on relevant clinical information and oncology practice trends affecting GSK Oncology Products.
  • Maintain clinical and technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Serve as a proactive and engaged resource for healthcare professionals regarding product handling, dosage and administration, side effect management, safety, and product or clinical inquiries
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and act in accordance with company compliance/legal guidelines at all times

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BA/BS in Nursing or related health care field of study

  • Minimum of 3+years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or health care industry

  • 2+ years of Oncology Patient Care experience

  • Experience working externally with health care provider and patient advocacy groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • BSN or higher nursing degree
  • 5 or more years clinical oncology experience with OCN certification
  • 2 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience establishing relationships within hospital and community oncology practices and customers
  • Experience and knowledge regarding administration of chemotherapy and other anticancer treatments
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance
  • Experience with public speaking and formal presentation
