Job description

The Patient Account Representative manages several tasks related to patient accounts for Durable Medical Equipment providers. Daily duties include processing and managing patient claims with insurance companies, collecting patient payments, resolving issues related to the patient account (with patients and insurance carriers), attending to patient inquiries regarding their account, to include assisting patients with payment arrangements, generating bills and explaining insurance benefits for the medical claim. Due to the nature of the job, the patient account representative interacts consistently with patients and medical insurance carriers on a regular basis.
