Patient Access Representative, Emergency Dept Access Service
Job description
RWJBH is seeking Patient Access Representative at the New Brunswick campus. This is part-time, day position (24 hours/week). Please note: this position will work 7:30 am - 4:00 pm and requires rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- The Patient Access Representative position plays a key role in the health system and in providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely throughput and capturing all necessary in a timely and friendly manner
- A core function of this position to ensure that all customers, external and internal, are treated with the highest level of respect
- Provides excellent customer service to all patients, colleagues and other external and internal customers
- Interviews patient s family members and other responsible parties to gather pertinent demographic and financial information
- High School diploma required
- Customer service experience
- Patient Access experience preferred
- Knowledge in all aspects of registration, Non-Federal and Federal billing regulations, and state programs such as Charity Care
- Medical terminology and computer skills
