Patient Access Representative Responsibilities to Include:

  • Receives all in-bound calls from current and potential patients
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, following company protocol, procedures, and provider scheduling templates
  • Schedules patient appointments with the proper provider in the appropriate location
  • Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
  • Updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
  • Responds to current and prospective patients’ inquiries in a courteous manner
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior medical practice experience preferred
  • Prior Call Center experience preferred
  • Knowledge and prior experience with insurance verifications and patient accounts preferred
  • Working knowledge of computer applications. Prior experience with EMR preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read and write effectively
  • Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to exercise actively listening skills, and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns and overcome objections
  • Flexible scheduling availability required
