SALARY DISCLOSURE: Base pay for this position is $11.22/hr. Additional incentives are available for Education and Experience beyond minimum job requirements.
Primary Purpose of Position:
This position will function as a receptionist, data entry clerk, billing clerk, collection agent, and patient representative in the PORT Health Services Outpatient clinics. This position requires knowledge of clinical services in order to handle such responsibilities as reimbursements, medical records, and data processing.
B. Work Schedule
This position will maintain an average work schedule of 40 hours per week for full-time employees and an average of no more than 24 hours a week for part-time employees. Outpatient Clinic hours vary at each location, generally working between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm Monday thru Friday, but flexibility will be expected depending on patient and clinic’s need. In the event of inclement weather, the employee may be required to remain on the unit beyond their normal workday.
Required Minimum Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional Training/Experience: Knowledge of computers required and the ability to type required. Transcription ability preferred, HIPAA knowledge preferred, Administrative/Medical Office Experience preferred.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Valid NC Driver’s license
