Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for an Pastry Prep Cook to work behind the scenes of Superfrico at Caesars in Atlantic City. The Pastry Prep Cook will be invited to participate in food and beverage experience. The Pastry Prep Cook is responsible for the day-to-day back bar operations of the outlet including, but not limited to preparing all food garnishes, syrups, juices, infusions and scaling all premixed beverages with accuracy according to the recipes provided. Maintaining a sanitary environment and work areas in compliance with health code and kitchen standard operating procedures. Storing and bottling all station related F&B items. Keeping all recipes safe, in house and confidential. This position reports directly to the Restaurant Beverage Manager.

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Staying focused and providing exceptional service by making a positive impression on the team.
• Ensuring all bar batches, syrups, juices and infusions are up to par.
• Maintaining health department standards for all bar work areas.
• Ensuring the work environment is clean and organized.
• Maintaining awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of food & alcoholic beverages
• Ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of well stations, back bar and bar top at all times. Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.
• Reporting any broken or malfunctioning equipment to management.·
• Adhering to staff privileges and responsibilities.
• Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times.
• Adhering to seasonal uniform and appearance requirements.
• Adhering to set schedules and attendance to mandatory staff meetings.
• Performing on all Position Responsibilities and Requirement in a fast, efficient and sanitary manner.

Requirements

• Requires 1-2 years’ experience in F&B service, preferably in a high volume kitchen venue.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not a requirement.
• Basic food preparations, beverage and cocktail knowledge.
• Awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to perform all job functions.
• Lifts and transports boxes and kegs up to 100 lbs. from the back of the house to the front.
• Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service areas.
• Walks and stands during the entire shift.
• Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking and fully comprehending English.
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls and burns.
• Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
• Be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licensing and work cards required present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
• Must be flexible enough to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
• Candidates must have valid work authorization for the US
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Health and safety at work compliant
• Valid food handlers - Servsafe Certified
