Description
Provides care, constant attention, and supervision to children within the designated child watch room- Ensures parent/child check in/out procedures are followed and verified
- Supervises the use of toys and supplies and notifies management of supply needs, repairs or replacements
- Addresses customer needs and concerns
- Responds to requests and inquiries from the general public
- Participates in daily maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Keeps Supervisor informed daily of all extraordinary or unusual conditions and situations and seeks Supervisor assistance with handling of special situations
- Contacts parent or guardian to change soiled diapers, cleaning soiled clothing and accessories, attending to child’s needs, and similar needs
- Projects a positive friendly and caring attitude at all times while interacting with children and their parents
- Provides parents or guardians information of the child’s behavior and any unusual occurrence or activity involving their child
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Six (6) months of experience working in a childcare facility
- Must have ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties
- Must possess Adult, Child and Infant CPR Certification and First Aid Certification
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Full knowledge and understanding of the principles of baby and/or child-sitting
- High School diploma or equivalent
Criteria/Conditions
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 20 pounds) during the course of the work day

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.00 - $19.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
