Do you love dogs? Have you worked with dogs? Or, do you want to work with dogs but don’t know how to get started? Rockstar Pets has been loving, teaching, and caring for dogs in our community for 12 years! We are Chicago’s only Canine Enrichment Center and we spend time outdoors every day with our dogs.

Hiring part-time (20-30 hours) with the potential for full-time for the right person! Experience with dogs is always a plus, however, training is provided for enthusiastic prospects.

We will lay out the steps to earn raises at 30 days and again throughout training. Working at Rockstar Pets means:

• Extensive training. The candidate must have basic knowledge of dog behavior and a willingness to learn. Candidate must be physically able to handle dogs of all sizes as well as be able to maintain proper cleaning protocols.
• Being outdoors everyday!
• Small playgroups. We maintain a ratio of 1 team member per 13 dogs. Safety is our #1 concern.
• Great teammates. You will share your day with great no-drama team members who care deeply about providing an optimal experience for our dog guests.
• Extensive cleaning. Applicants must be willing to clean extensively, change mop buckets, vacuum, mop, etc.

The details:

• Rockstar Pets is open every day of the year. After training, you will be working some weekends. We all share the responsibility of working some holidays. The dogs need us.
• Our schedules can vary from day to day. Rockstar Pets is open 6:45 am – 7:15 pm. Employees start training during the morning shifts and then complete training in the afternoon shifts.
• Saturdays and Sundays consist of 2 shifts (split shift), and the hours are 7 am-12:30 pm and then 4:30 pm-7 pm. Please take note of this.
• Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
• Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
