Job description

We are looking for an experienced powder coat painter for our 2nd shift team. The right person will have experience operating manual spray equipment to apply consistent and even finishes to a wide range of custom metal parts in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Understand paint specs and set up equipment to use correct powder.
• Interpret drawings to determine masking requirements.
• Set up and operate manual spray guns and paint cabinets
• Apply paint at required thickness evenly and cleanly
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Keep records of production quantities and time
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Skills

• Proven experience as painter
• Excellent time management and self motivation
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
• High school diploma required; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated

Hours

• Hours are M-F 3:45pm-12:15am (Overtime available as needed).

Our team of around 55 employees operate from our single 100,000 square foot facility on the east side of Raleigh (around 15 minutes from downtown). Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
